This Article will clear the confusion of Program (Ending with M) and Programme (Ending with MME).

In order to talk about the difference firstly we have to know  the differences in their usage.

1. The word PROGRAM (Ending with M) is often used in American English on the other hand the word PROGRAMME Indian (MME) is often used in British English.

2. The word PROGRAM is often used in computing contexts in British English.on the other hand MS WORD being an American software underlines the word PROGRAMME ending in a MME as red and considers it as an error.

3.  The Australian English recommends the word PROGRAM for official usage, on the other hand in Australian English the word PROGRAMME is still in common use.

The word Program was predominant in the UK until the 19th century when the spelling Programmme ending in a mm II became more common largely as a result of influence from French.
